The average age of our collection is 1984, which was a great year for me but it is time to turn the clock forward in the library. Thus, we have weeded the fiction section and we have hundreds of books that are being discarded. Our goal is to highlight the quality books we have and increase circulation. We are starting to forward face books, design better displays, and promote our collection more online. These books are being discarded for the reasons below:
Nobody has checked them out since Nixon was president
They are in poor condition
The cover is not attractive/eye catching
The story is not relevant
They are inappropriate
We are selling them in the library. So come grab a bit of UHS history and help us move into the 21st Century.
